I absolutely HATE to do dishes. It is my one true hate in this world. Unfortunately, it as a necessary evil. I mean, the dishes NEED to get done, otherwise your 10 years down the road watching a rerun of yourself, on Hoarders #TLC.

If I could just throw out every dish and pot after using it I would be thrilled. But, 1. That is totally irresponsible 2. I am not filthy rich, and 3. How ethically irresponsible and selfish of me to not reuse perfectly good silverware.

So, how do I go about getting through finishing the dishes? I put my favorite playlist on - connect to a speaker - and DANCE. (You can find my fave playlist here: @homepage)

I have only just started this practice. It has changed my mentality towards the dishes entirely.

I can't even tell you how fun and freeing it is to shake it while scrubbing the dishes. I'm singing my heart out and burning calories #BONUS and enjoying the time. I'm not frantically pushing my life forward to get through a task. I'm enjoying the journey. Each task I accomplish with a happy attitude and carefree mind is only benefiting myself.

So yea, I still HATE to do the dishes. But I don't have to keep that bad attitude like a thick smoke on my shoulders. I can choose to be happy, choose to find the joy in the way I am doing something, and turning it around to where I feel uplifted. Clean kitchen, check. Happy Taba, DOUBLE CHECK.

When in fear, dance it out
