Angel Numbers 101… I Mean 111

Have you ever made a wish at 11:11, felt a tinge of fear when you saw 666, or noticed the same number popping up over and over again—on receipts, gas pumps, license plates at stop lights?

What if those numbers were more than coincidence? What if they were signs? A gentle nudge from the Universe. A reminder that you’re loved, guided, and not alone. Sometimes, these signs are simply a way for something beyond your everyday awareness to say: “Hello. I’m here. I care about you.” Call it angels, call it Source, the Universe, God—whatever speaks to you.

We are energy beings. Science backs this up: our bodies emit a frequency, and that frequency reflects how we think, feel, and act. The human body is an incredible design, and scientists are still uncovering its mysteries to this day. My current read, “Quantum Body,” by Deepak Chopra tells me just that. 

I bring this up because your energy—the frequency you carry—is directly connected to how you experience signs like angel numbers. What you focus on, how you behave, what you believe… it all plays a part. In a way, your energy is your spiritual currency—it opens doors to deeper connection with higher powers.

(Side note) If you're like me, you probably believe in a higher power. For me, that's God—and I have a direct relationship with God in my heart and soul. But I also connect with other energies: angels, spirit guides, ascended masters, ancestors, and yes, maybe even extraterrestrials (though that part makes some folks squirm a little 😅). What you believe shapes the kind of relationship you can have with the divine. And the more you raise your energy, the more you align with higher powers—the more support, guidance, and magic you can call into your life. It’s not always easy. It takes effort. After all, if life weren’t a bit messy and challenging, how would we grow, how would we appreciate this beautiful human experience? That’s part of the fun. (Side note over)

Being human is as beautiful as it is difficult. Thankfully, the Universe left us clues—signs, synchronicities, and nudges that can bring us back to hope when we need it most. Some of those signs show up in the form of numbers. What many people call angel numbers.

In this post, I’m diving into the meanings of the numbers 0 through 9. 

When you see angel numbers like 11:11, 222, 444, etc. you are seeing a more heightened and amplified message. You’ll start seeing numbers everywhere—and you might be surprised how often they’re speaking directly to you.

My interpretations come from a mix of research and years of working with tarot and journaling. This is my personal cheat sheet, but I encourage you to explore and see what resonates for you. The most important guide is your own intuition. 

Let’s dive in.

ONE – 1

One is a solid YES from the Universe. A sign that you are aligned, on track, and heading in the right direction. It’s the green light to keep going.

It also represents new beginnings—the first step on a new path. Follow the energy of one, and you'll find opportunities unfolding in every direction: creative, financial, emotional, and spiritual.

One brings you back to yourself. Are you leading your life from your own center? You are the first and last relationship you’ll ever have. When you see one, it could be a call to take care of yourself and trust your internal compass—especially when others don’t understand your path.

To me, 11:11 is like a spiritual initiation. Almost everyone’s heard the phrase, “11:11, make a wish.” But it’s more than a wish—it’s often the first breadcrumb in a trail of angel numbers, a cosmic hello that invites you to pay attention.

TWO – 2

Two symbolizes decisions. You’ve uncovered something—about yourself or your situation—and now it needs your attention. What will you do with this new awareness?

It also represents duality: light and shadow, yin and yang, masculine and feminine. Are you leaning too far into one side? Seeing two could be a reminder to restore balance—to bring harmony to your thoughts, relationships, or daily life.

Two reminds me of the High Priestess in the tarot deck. She’s stable, intuitive, and deeply connected to the unseen. She reveals secrets not to start drama, but to bring wisdom. If you keep seeing two, what is it whispering to you to uncover?

THREE – 3

The Holy Trinity. If you’ve read my About Me or earlier posts, you know I was raised in the Christian church—so three immediately feels spiritual. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Mind, body, soul. Divine alignment.

Three is also about growth, expansion, and creativity. It’s a sign of movement and momentum. If you’re seeing threes, abundance may be on its way—or already here. Three brings sources of luck, fortune, and opportunites. Abundance is the sign of the Empress tarot card and abundance is surely on its way. Take a moment to look around and recognize your blessings.

Three is also encouragement to stay the course. Nurture what you’re working on. Keep the energy flowing with intention and inspired action.

FOUR – 4

Four is the number of stability. I see it like a solid block with a crown—rooted, grounded, unmoving even when pressure is applied, and ouch is it going to hurt to apply pressure to that crown. It’s the energy of structure and security.

When you see four, it may be time to lean into your routines and responsibilities. Stay consistent. There’s a quiet power in showing up, even when it’s not glamorous.

Four also invites logic over emotion. Make a list. Prioritize. Handle the non-negotiables. Your hard work is paying off, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.

In tarot, four connects to the Emperor—a symbol of masculine energy, action, and leadership. If the Empress attracts, the Emperor builds. Where the Empress receives, the Emperor Gives. When you see four, it’s time to make moves and claim your power.

FIVE – 5

As a life path 5 myself, I love this number. It’s wild, adventurous, curious, and full of possibility. 

A life path number is a whole other topic yet to be discussed ;)

Seeing five is a call to embrace change, spontaneity, and all of your senses. Taste, touch, sight, sound, smell—and your intuition. This number says: let loose, have fun, shake things up.

But five also brings contrast. With too much chaos, things can spiral. So five might also be asking you to ground down. Adventure is beautiful—but roots are necessary. Roots require a home, a place to fall back on. 

Every angel number has its light and shadow. Five is no exception. If you’re torn between skydiving and saving money, five says: listen to your intuition. There’s a message in the tension.

SIX – 6

Remember how I mentioned 666 in the intro? Yeah, six gets a bad rap. But much of that comes from fear-based narratives that don’t reflect the deeper truth.

Six is actually about love, balance, and harmony. In tarot, six is the Lovers in the Major Arcana. In the Minor Arcana, it’s connected to nostalgia, generosity, victory, and healing. That’s a whole lot of good.

When you see six, it may be a nudge to nurture your relationships—especially the one with yourself. Give love where it’s needed. Be soft where you’ve been hard. The angels are saying, “You are loved. God loves you.”

If fear creeps in, ask yourself: do I want to lean into peace, or anxiety? Choose love. Always.

SEVEN – 7

Seven has a mystical, sacred energy. Biblically, it took seven days to create the earth. It’s also associated with luck, intuition, and inner wisdom.

Seeing seven might be asking you to have faith without proof. How you think shapes how you experience the world. What thoughts are you feeding? Are they aligned with love, truth, and trust?

Seven also signals growth and study. What can you learn right now that supports your evolution? What effort can you give yourself to become the version of you you’re meant to be?

EIGHT – 8

Eight is the number of infinity—limitless potential and the eternal hum of life.

It’s also about strength in all forms: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Take care of your body, feed your mind, nourish your soul. Real strength is choosing kindness when you could have chosen anger. It's showing grace when you could have walked away.

Eight also asks: Are your patterns serving you? What cycles need to end so new ones can begin? Keep making the right choices, one by one. Each step forward makes you stronger.

NINE – 9

Nine is the ending—the final chapter before something new. It’s a sign that something important is reaching completion.

When you see nine, reflect. What have you learned? What have you accomplished—even in the small things, like finishing a hard day of chores or crossing something off your list? You did that.

Nine says: You made it. Celebrate. The angels are cheering for you. You’re on cloud nine for a reason.

BONUS: ELEVEN – 11 (Master Number)

Eleven is a master number, full of spiritual power and awakening. (Along with 22 and 33—which I encourage you to look into.)

Eleven is often the first angel number people notice. Seeing 11:11 is a powerful confirmation that your spiritual awareness is activating. You are waking up to something deeper.

Eleven calls you to strengthen your spiritual practice—whatever that means for you. It might be church, meditation, tarot, prayer, nature walks, journaling, or simply sitting in stillness and listening. It’s about connecting to something beyond the body and mind.

When you see 11, the Universe is calling. Are you ready to answer?
