Hello 2019

Year 2019

I think it is slightly crazy that we catalog the years that human beings have been on the earth. I mean that is really all 2-0-1-9 means. January 2019 didn’t start some mythical renewal. It is just the way humans categorize time. Right? We see that we have gone around the sun in a rotation that matches some measurable time frame that makes us feel like we know something about the universe.

Really, 2019 is just a number that should mean nothing of consequence to our lives and how we live it. BUT for some reason it does mean something to me. And many others out there. An individual living and breathing on this earth. I witnessed 2019 come in like it would save me.

2019 has become a universal, eye opening, “spiritual” beginning and the Universe has become my friend. It has become the truth I believe in and what I put my trust in, if I keep a positive, healthy outlook on life. I've transitioned away from past beliefs and ways of thinking. Now, the number 2019 means what power I give to it. Each year will now come and I will think of #Buddha, who was a man, born rich, who left all his belongings behind to find true enlightenment. I like this, his way wasn’t for connecting to God, but for connecting to this earth, this life, this consciousness of the human mind. I see that all is connected and all has vibration and meaning, this is what I cling too. But hey, I’m a modern 21st century girl, I enjoy the modern world.

So here I am in conflict, with a need to be in the modern world and the need to feel connected to the ethereal. Why can’t I have both? Well, I am choosing to believe I can have both. Life is what you make it. We are all evolving, learning, growing and living our life on the path and frequency that matches what we need, to survive, to LIVE.

I choose to love Instagram and I choose to unplug and not feel FOMO. I choose to chill out and open my mind to the greatness that is love and connection outside of a Wi-Fi signal and I choose to post pictures and stories that elevate my being.

I will be nothing but myself and thank the universe for opening me up to the “beginnings” of another year around the sun.
